Many sexual assault and domestic violence survivors engage in self-harming behaviors like cutting and burning. This webinar will address the reasons for self-harm, how to intervene, where to seek help, and how to distinguish self-harm from suicide.

Presenter:
Sue Eastgard has served as the director of the Youth Suicide Prevention Program of Washington State since 1997. She served as the executive director for the Seattle-King County Crisis Clinic for 3½ years and prior to that, spent over a decade providing outpatient mental health services to acutely and chronically mentally ill children and adults. Sue is a Past-President of the American Association of Suicidology and was the program chair for their 1997 National Healing After Suicide Conference. She holds a masters degree in social work from the University of Washington
