Updates from WASPC’s Protective Order& Victim Notification Programs, DNA Project, and Offender Watch

Description:
Update information will be presented on the Statewide Automated Victim Information and Notification Program (SAVIN), the SAVIN Protective Order Notification Program, the Unknown Suspect DNA Project, and the new sex offender monitoring program called Offender Watch.  All of these programs have important updated features added in the last month.  The webinar will be a good review, a direct way to receive updated information, an avenue to ask questions and address concerns, and a good place to share stories.

Presenter:
Dawn Larsen, Director of Projects for the Washington Association of Sheriffs and Police Chiefs (WASPC) for three years. Oversees a variety of projects primarily focused on victim issues. Twenty-five years experience in crime victim services including serving as executive director of community and statewide sexual assault agencies.  Started as a volunteer advocate for SafePlace in Olympia.  Advocacy Academy trainer for OCVA. M.A. from St. Martin’s University in Counseling and Community Psychology. Licensed mental health therapist with focus on child and adult victims of crime.
